Installation Guide

Desktop Apps (Required for Monitoring)

Windows

Download the .exe installer
Run the installer and follow the setup wizard
Launch KeepTab Monitor from your Start Menu
Create an account and set up your first child profile

Note: Windows may show a SmartScreen warning for new applications. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway" to proceed with installation.

macOS

Download the .dmg disk image
Open the downloaded file and drag KeepTab Monitor to Applications
Launch from Applications folder
If prompted, allow the app in System Preferences → Security & Privacy
Create an account and set up your first child profile

Note: macOS may require you to grant accessibility permissions for process monitoring to work correctly.

Mobile Apps

iOS

Download the .ipa file and install via sideloading or your preferred method. App Store release coming soon.

Android

Download the .apk file. You may need to enable "Install from unknown sources" in your device settings. Play Store release coming soon.

Is KeepTab Monitor free?

Yes, KeepTab Monitor is completely free to download and use.

Do I need both desktop and mobile apps?

The desktop app must be installed on your child's computer to monitor KeepTab. The mobile app is optional and lets you view and control sessions remotely.

Will my child know it's running?

The app runs in the background and is visible in the system tray. We recommend being transparent with your children about monitoring.

Can I monitor from my phone?

Yes! Download the mobile app for iOS or Android to monitor and control sessions remotely from your phone or tablet.

How do I update the app?

The app will notify you when updates are available. Simply download and install the latest version from this page.

Is my data secure?

Yes, all data is encrypted and stored securely. We use Firebase authentication and follow industry best practices.
